Activities
The purpose of activities at 35th Avenue Baptist Church is always to help our people relax, have a time of release and spiritual entertainment that leaves us with a sense of satisfaction that God made all things for His pleasure, and that since He made us after His image, we should be able to have pleasurable times as well, especially as a church family. We do not use activities to attract visitors. We use them to bless our people. God never blessed the people of Israel and gave them water from a rock, or manna from heaven in order to get the Amalekites or Philistines to join up with them. He did those things to bless His people. So, once in a while we do some fun things, but we do it for the enjoyment of our current faithful attenders.

Trip to Globe, Arizona:
On the way, we stopped to hike two of Pastor Coleman's favorite places to go when he pastored in Globe years ago. Here are two videos of those places:
The Lagoon - a beautiful spot for climbing with several lower pools at the base of cliffs near Apache Leap, outside Superior, about a half mile east of the Queen Creek Tunnel on US 60. There is a beautiful pool at the base of a 30-40 ft. waterfall (if it has rained recently!) higher up. It is hard to get to for some, but worth the effort.
Devil's Canyon - Tucked away back from the highway at the bottom of Devil's Canyon are pock-marked rocks worn by the spray of water tumbling over the rock falls for thousands of years.
